Welcome to SMCGS
New website: This is the new website of the San Mateo County Genealogical Society. We will continue to make minor changes over the next few weeks. The old website, http://www.smcgs.org, will be available for a few more months, but the content will not be kept up to date.
Member logins to this website: Accounts have been created on this website for all current SMCGS members. If you are a member, you can log in using the same email address you used on the old website, but you will have to create a new password. You should have received an email message with instructions on how to reset your password and log into the new website. If you didn't receive this email message, you can click on the Log in button at the top right of this window and then click on Forgot password.
Loss of a long-time SMCGS member: Barry Hinman, a valued long-time member of SMCGS and Librarian Emeritus at Stanford University, passed away recently. We would like to have an article in our next newsletter with people’s remembrances of him. Do you have memories of Barry that you would like to share? If so, please send them to email@example.com.
Loss of another valued SMCGS member: We are sad to announce the loss of another valued SMCGS member, Ruth Satterthwaite. Ruth worked behind the scenes in the library, managing all our periodicals, and she was a cheerful volunteer on many SMCGS projects. Do you have memories of Ruth that you would like to share? If so, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Feedback on the website: Please help to make this website better by providing your feedback -- email your comments and suggestions to email@example.com.
News: Please see our News page for the latest notices.
